Multi-Spring Component Outside Seal (AST50)
The AST50 Mechanical Seal fits all ANSI pumps and many others that require a single outside seal to withstand an extremely corrosive environment or low pressure service. Clamped L-Shape and T-Shape stationaries are available in silicon carbide and alumina ceramic.
Multi-Spring Component Inside Seal (AST60/66)
The AST60 is a simple and easily installed seal that can be used wherever a highly-reliable, anti-clog seal is needed. Its narrow seal face design and hydraulic balance make it a cool-running seal. The floating rotary seal ring eliminates seal face distortion inherent to shrink fit designs. Since all the springs are isolated from the pumped fluid, flush rates can be reduced to minimize product dilution.
Single Cartridge Seals Engineered to Fit Viking Pumps (AST63)
Our AST63 mechanical seals have been engineered to fit most Viking Pumps.
Single Cartridge Seal (AST70)
AST70 seals are available off-the-shelf to fit most ANSI pumps, as well as vertical turbine pumps, large split case pumps and other systems that require more than a standard seal. Rebuild parts are still off-the-shelf.
Single Cartridge Seal (AST7023)
The AST7023 seal is the off-the-shelf solution for hot liquid sealing. Its built-in pumping ring fits in enlarged bore seal chambers on popular ANSI pumps.
Dual Cartridge Seal (AST80)
The AST80 Seal is two seals packaged in one compact, unitized cartridge assembly for easy installation. Since it’s double balanced, it can be used in 3 ways: double seal, tandem seal, and spare seal.
Dual Cartridge Seal (AST80M)
The AST80M Seal is a rugged dual seal built for use in mixers, agitators, double-ended pumps, and other rotating equipment in demanding service. With its large internal clearances, the AST80M tolerates shaft runout and end-play that would make another seal fail.
FFKM (AST380 and AST385)
The AST380 is a high-temperature FFKM (perfluoroelastomer) that also has broad chemical resistance.
The AST385 is a general purpose FFKM (perfluoroelastomer) that has very broad chemical resistance, but also can provide high-temperature resistance.
AST Reservoir Brochure
Reservoirs (seal pots) are available for Plan 52 and Plan 53 arrangements with dual seals. The reservoirs are stainless steel with cooling coils as standard. Our reservoirs are certified to 550 PSIG, PMI tested to 304SS and visually inspected to an AST specification.
